North Carolina organization recognizes Liaison ALLOY Health™: Registry solution for advancing healthcare research and evidence-based medicine

Liaison Technologies, an industry-recognized leader in cloud-based integration and data management offerings, today announced it has been selected as a finalist in the 2015 NCHICA Health IT Transformation Awards. NCHICA (North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance) has recognized Liaison for its Liaison ALLOY Health: Registry, a data Platform as a Service (dPaaS) solution that links data from widely divergent sources to create a 360-degree view of an individual patient or subject, resulting in dramatically faster and more powerful research and clinical inquiries.

The NCHICA Health IT Transformation Awards highlight solutions in population health management, connected health and patient engagement that improve health outcomes, enhance patient care and lower costs. NCHICA is considered a key player in both national and North Carolina initiatives to advance the use of information technology in healthcare. Its membership includes healthcare providers, corporations, nonprofits, public agencies and educational organizations, all brought together to improve the delivery, quality, accessibility and efficiency of healthcare through the use of information technology.

“The concept of registries is not new to healthcare organizations,” says Alice Westerfield, senior vice president, corporate development for Liaison Technologies. “You will find spreadsheets or homegrown systems meant for tracking specific outcomes or cohorts throughout the organization, but these solutions are manual and limited in their ability to provide actionable insights. The Liaison ALLOY Health: Registry platform allows practitioners to quickly identify trends and valid patterns in data, foster collaboration among colleagues, and advance cross-disease research. This approach is more powerful, more efficient, and more sophisticated. It ultimately empowers healthcare organizations to better utilize their data for today’s needs and is agile enough that it will become even more valuable over time.”

As one of three finalists in its category, Liaison Technologies’ platform will be highlighted at the NCHICA Annual Conference on September 14 in Pinehurst, North Carolina, at which time the category winner will be announced.
