Kaiser to open health IT campus in Atlanta, creating 900 jobs

Kaiser’s electronic health record, HealthConnect, is the largest EHR system in the world that is not government-owned. In 2014, Kaiser customers used My Health Manager, Kaiser’s personal health records system, to view more than 78 million test results, send more than 20 million e-mails to physicians, fill around 17 million prescriptions and book 4 million appointments. “Our IT organization drives the technology that enables Kaiser Permanente to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes,” Kaiser Permanente CIO Dick Daniels said in a press release. “These new technology employees will be essential to our mission to provide the best care possible and empower our members to take an active role in managing their health and wellness.”
